So there has been this craze, that I hadn't heard of before, that been going on for some time.
It's these Vinyl toys by a company called Kidrobot, that you can customize any way you want. (Look up "Munny", "Trikky", "Foomi", and a few more I think...)
So up to working at Opus I didn't know these existed and even then, didn't realize how big of a cult these toys actually are!
I got to chatting about them as we got this crazy huge shipment and then we looked them up, if you haven't heard of them before type "munny" into google and your mind will awaken.
You can customize these dolls literally anyway you want, with paint, pencils, pens, and sculpture, people have carved into them, made them speakers, you name it, it's been done.
So when I saw just what people were doing I naturally had to try it out!
So, this is how they begin, plain and simple! It's about 8-9" tall, super light, moveable parts...I got "Trikky", cause it looked cat-like and I figured I could mess with that!
Anywho...for mine, I decided to sculpt it with Super Sculpey. Might as well put my sculpting skills to use and keep up the ole' chops...here is a series of my progress shots up to where I currently am. At the primed stage. Will start painting tomorrow once I've met the proper 24 hour set time!
I'll keep posting progress as I go!
